I didn't want to work endlessly for the rest of my life to discover there is NO light at the end of the tunnel. No money from a life that had just "passed me by". I wanted more from my life! I wanted the excitement and adventure we always see at the movies! I wanted my dreams to become MY reality for a change...

So as soon as I graduated from University, I began surfing online to make money. I didn't want to rely on a "secure" job that we all now know is NEVER secure. But after my father's experience I wasn't going to let that happen to me.

My heart and life was set on currency trading. I've been studying it underground whilst at university. Whenever I had 'some' fun time I'd sneak off alone and study the markets.

I didn't have a mentor or any experts who I could turn to for help. There were just so many 'scam artists' out there. I bet you've seen them too. The ones that have make-up artists and teeth shining brighter than diamonds. They were 'dorks' who claim to be experts. They were experts for sure ... but as salespeople who just sucked 'desperate' people like myself D-R-Y!

I didn't know who to trust but my bank balance was definitely shrinking. I had to take a part-time job to make ends meet. Pay for living expenses and those damn expensive trading courses to excel my trading knowledge. I worked from 12 noon to 2am as a barman. I worked those particular shifts so I could take the next day off to concentrate solely on trading ... just thinking of those hard days now sends shivers down my spine and makes my stomach turn!

I began learning from "experts" in the field. I would go through the mentoring process (costing me an arm and a leg) and would realise that these experts are so FULL of themselves. These so-called experts were making money from teaching and not a dime from the market itself. I'd spend months with these experts trading the 'secret methods' they knew only to discover I was losing money, making some, then losing more and then some more!

Every time I was desperate for help, they would shoot me in the foot claiming 'market conditions aren't good' or to further embarrass themselves nit-pick on something I was doing wrong. I mean how embarrassing is it when your mentor closes the door when things get hot under the collar all because they weren't really traders they were just simply TEACHERS?!!

Think about it ... your school teacher tells you the wonders of a subject and how critical it is in life to be successful. Have you ever stopped and wondered why they aren't successful? Now don't forget, school teachers were REAL teachers as that's what they did for a living. TEACH!!

These 'so-called' experts ACTED like teachers where in reality they were just 'undercover' scam artists posing as teachers. So it became clear and I had to once again jump ships ... as at present I might as well learn from Jack Sparrow.

One Disaster AFTER Another...

The circle of experts were repetitive failures! I kept going round in circles learning from these scam artists who never made any money from the REAL market themselves!

It was APPALLING to say the least!

I couldn't believe I just wasted 2 years of my life doing this! I had a family who was relying on me! I had friends always looking down on me. I had mentors who didn't know 'jack' about the markets and my bank manager was getting fed up with my excuses.

With my dad out of work, times were running tough and they were getting tougher. I was living an era of my own GREAT DEPRESSION and as the 'Dreamercatcher' I had to do something F-A-S-T!!

The thoughts jumping around in my head to make quick cash weren't just stupid, they were just plain crazy. What was my family thinking? Surely they saw me hard at work every day - working at the bar, then trying to trade from home. They were under the impression that I was going to be rich soon... but when that "soon" would be, even I didn't have the slightest clue!?

I'm sure you know how bad it is when THE family relies on you. I didn't want them to feel bad, so I confidently always put a 'positive' smile on my face and lie straight through my teeth. "Yeah I'm getting somewhere"...."any day now the hard work's gonna pay off"....

What about my friends and other family members, what were they thinking? I was a complete moron and was embarrassed of the fact that I was being taken for a mug! I was devastated and hurt as I was:

• Constantly under strain about my financial position and just could NOT get out of the negative mindset (this negative mindset was one of the major factors of my failure)
  
  
• Constantly under too much pressure to do something with my life. I was ALONE! I felt guilty doing anything besides trying to make some money. My living expenses and credit card debt were mounting up to my eye balls! I felt sick to the stomach every time I thought about it and I couldn't do anything besides constantly, constantly work, locked and hidden away from the real world within the walls of my bedroom prison trying to make it work!
  
  
• In other words I was more or less D-E-A-D in existence to everyone!!!

All I ever did from dusk till dawn was work, work and more work! (Does this sound familiar...?)

I was at the brink of depression, I couldn't see any way forward for myself. This trading game seemed full, with a bunch of phoneys teaching you a system that they themselves have never profited from, and there were really no "real deal" teachers out there.

$10 Million Dollar 'Manhattan' JACKPOT...

It was Monday morning and I remember this moment precisely, as the currency market re-opened the day before and I was down yet again. This account on Monday morning was almost like a re-occurring event ... it was expected.

To my amazement I could see patterns forming in the market that were profitable, yet I could not profit from the market. Something was wrong and I was determined to find out why.

I knew it was time to stop trading. And that's exactly what I did. I knew I had to go back to the drawing board and get my head in order. I started to read up on the work of people like Bob Proctor and Stuart Lichtman. I started to realise how important a positive mindset is in order to realise your dreams and goals.

I started to work on my trading by studying the work of Mark Douglas author of 'The Disciplined Trader' And 'Trading In The Zone'.

Things started to "click" in place just like the girl on her first date knows if she found the perfect partner. I started thinking so much like those great traders. I didn't need the next bandwagon for the next big trading strategy or that super $10,000 mentoring program anymore, I realised what the key to my trading success was!

It was me ... I began seeing profit and my trading was finally becoming the fun I had always dreamed off! I started to liaise with other professional traders. I started to get out and network more with other profitable traders. We started bouncing trading ideas and strategies with each other. In the end my dream was being REALISED ... I started to see ...

Consistent PROFITABILITY!!

I shot to "underground" fame. Word of mouth started hitting the underground trading circles. This wasn't like a job anymore where you wait in line to fill a vacancy spot. I was being head-hunted and I didn't have the slightest clue how it was being done. I was hearing from desperate companies, NOT people who wanted to turn around their trading profitability.

I was approached by a firm in New York to trade their $10,000,000 account! I was "WOW'ed" off my feet like my first kiss! I was overjoyed as I knew now the BIG times were coming. I flew out to their offices on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. Besides ... I haven't seen Manhattan AND Manhattan HADN'T see ME!

Anyway ... new offices were opening on Wall Street the following month so these people were serious players! My eyes saw trading rooms left right and centre for the first time! I was in the BOILER ROOM. It was awesome!

I for once felt ... I was home! There were TFT screens everywhere I looked, with flashing red and green numbers with all kinds of Einstein charts. Traders were concentrating on their positions, some positions I saw were for 10 million currency units (and that was their small trades) - this was w-a-y too cool!

I was offered a $250,000 account straight off the bat as they wanted to see how I would perform for a couple of weeks and then I could engage in the $10,000,000 account (that's TEN million dollars).

For once I felt a sense of accomplishment! I looked back at where I was and thought about where I am today. There was a world of difference! I immediately got trading on their account!

... An EASY $250,000 Dollars

Things went great and they immediately offered the $10 Million account to manage. I was on the phone to them and they were asking me to proceed to the larger account:

"Ok Kumar, so we just need to go through some formalities and you'll be good to go!"

"Sure" I replied " What kind of formalities"

"Well we have to just get a few terms and conditions signed by you - just some legal stuff"

"Okay, send them through and I'll have a look at them"

They sent over 30 pages of small print, full of legal jargon. I wasn't going to even read it but my 'sixth-sense' said I should.

Everything seemed fine except ONE clause that just stood right out of the page. In not so many words, it read: "Once I signed, my trading methodology will become the property of the firm and I could never disclose them to anybody."

This made me f-r-e-a-k! I always wanted to help people in the future with trading and give back. But I surely didn't expect this!

Was it worth $10 Million?

Was I going to become a prisoner of my own success, my own trading methodologies? To be fair, I didn't know exactly how this "violation" would work, however I had a 30 page small print 'manual' in front of me!
